Business Systems Analyst - Engineering

Reports to: Director – Business Systems


POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Business Systems Analyst for Engineering is the resident expert in the use of our applications and tools in the execution and continuous improvement of our business processes in this areas. The SBA works with his/her peers throughout the enterprise (all sites and business units) to ensure consistency throughout the organization, to make effective use of our applications, tools and technology and to work with our technology suppliers in the support and evolution of the products and tools upon which we rely to conduct our business. The primary emphasis of this position is Engineering, Product Life-cycle Management, and Contract Manufacturing Quality Assurance.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be the functional leader and team member from the Keurig, Inc. business unit for applications and technology projects pertaining to Engineering, Product Life-cycle Management, and Contract Manufacturing Quality Assurance.
  • Receive and analyze requests for system modifications or new application development or enhancement in assigned program area; recommend and implement solutions to problems or design systems as needed; coordinate or perform detailed analysis, development and testing of new applications; develop and recommend standards for the design and implementation of new systems applications; ensure integration into current or proposed systems or applications; design, test, perform quality control and implement new systems and applications.
  • Provide day to day support as needed to address questions and problems that arise in the execution and evolution of business processes, use of software tools and reporting needs.
  • Work closely with functional team members and peer SBAs to continuously improve the business processes across all sites and business units.
  • Evaluate Enterprise Software capabilities and identify, prioritize and implement functionality that will improve the efficiency of business processes within the organization.
  • Lead user group meetings and conferences to advance our issues, needs and desires with the product strategy and development groups within our applications and technology supplier base.
  • Lead the quarterly steering team and governance meetings for the Engineering functions at Keurig, Inc.
Projects are defined, scoped/scaled and prioritized via the quarterly IST Steering Team and Governance meetings. The SBA may lead and/or participate on project teams of varied scope and scale as needed and prioritized. These projects include, but are not limited to:
  • System requirement definition and documentation
  • Systems configuration and implementation support
  • Major/minor applications and/or technology implementations/upgrades. Business Intelligence / Analytics


QUALIFICATIONS

A successful candidate will have the following background:

  • Six years of experience in using and supporting Engineering toolset to design, manage, and measure product development in a Consumer Packaging goods organization. Experience defining and leading business process definition, functional mapping to systems, and configuring/supporting these systems.
  • Expertise (4-6 years) in the use and administration of one of the following Engineer focused applications: Solid Works, Pro/E Engineer, CAD, CAM, CAE, PDM or PLM.
  • Experience (2-4 years) developing requirements around reporting and data analytics for Quality Assurance, Corrective Action Management, and Product Lifecycle Management.
  • Exposure (1-3 years) to Siebel CRM focused in configuring and/or supporting the Field Service/Quality/Engineering modules.
  • Proven track record in a leadership role leading small teams of people to complete projects.
  • Experience in a matrix organization working as part a larger enterprise preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills demonstrated by authoring Functional design documents
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (required), Visio (Desired) and Project (Desired)
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
