Category Analyst
Reports to: Director - VP, Retail Sales
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Category Analyst will serve as the sales support analyst to the Directors of Sales in the Keurig At Home SBU. The Category Analyst will be responsible for reviewing the point of sale analysis on a weekly basis and understanding its impact on current and future forecasts as well as shipments and on hand inventories. The expectation is for this person to anticipate trends over time and accurately plan for our customers demands to ensure we maximize our business potential. This position will also be responsible for managing our retail.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide a weekly point of sale summary to the Sales Directors highlighting sales and forecast trends and make business recommendations.
- Review current point of sale rates and adjust the future forecast accordingly.
- Ty vs Ly vs Plan order vs forecast analysis and tracking a season to date performance vs plan.
- Track all open orders for the current month an ensure that we meet the customer’s demand requirements or communicate otherwise.
- Manage all aspects of our Retail Application Links(Navigation thru the retailers Vendor Partner website, their forecast, their inventory levels, their fulfillment rates, etc.).
REQUIREMENTS
- BS/BA with 3+ years retail sales analysis, buying and merchandising experience.
- Advanced level Excel proficiency (pivot tables, automated/integrated pages and worksheets).
- Intermediate level Access proficiency (able to create/run database queries, summarize and utilize data).
- Neilson Survey source, NPD retrieval, analysis and reporting.
- Basic understanding of retail clients business and how it operates with a complete understanding of their retail link application.
- Must be completely PC proficient, able to develop his/her own oral and visual presentations, spread sheets and general correspondence.
