Regional Sales Manager – Southwest (RSM)
Reports to: AFH Regional Sales Director
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The RSM – Southwest is responsible for developing and delivering an Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for their Sales Region (Southern California, Arizona, Las Vegas as well as a few others) in the Away From Home business segment. The RSM is the “owner” of the AFH business in their area in charge of driving the installed base of Keurig AFH brewers to specific, designated penetration levels of the office market with consistent growth year after year.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Management and development of any Associate Sales Managers (ASM) in their region
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Annually, set with Management an AOP for the Region consisting of brewer volume goals and spending
- Delivering the AOP by individual work plans and a distributor strategy (below) that drives attainment of the AOP
- Develop an OCS Keurig Authorized Distributor (KAD) strategy for the region including number of distributors and geographic coverage—adding and terminating distributors based on the strategy
- Optimize the performance of each KAD via hand’s on management and training of field personnel
- Represent Keurig and its policies to each KAD resulting in understanding, acceptance and adherence to our KAD contract provisions and other company policies
- Provide business building growth ideas for their region to management and Corporate Marketing
- Represent the company at Trade Shows in the region—and as required—outside of their region.
- Accounts Receivable collection for KADs that are beyond our payment terms
- Helping drive end user interest in Keurig via prospecting meetings and cold calling from time to time among high potential office targets
- Special projects as assigned from time to time by Management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree from College (minimum)
- 7+ Years successful Sales experience selling products thru a third party distribution network
- Experience working in a major “Fortune 500” company learning fundamental selling/management skills preferred
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well with others in a team setting
- Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office tools: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Ability to uphold Safety standards, participate in Continuous Process Improvement on the job, and follow our business best practices.
- Ability to get along with others, be punctual, and follow instructions.
- Ability to follow Keurig policies and procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS / OTHER:
The RSM is expected to maintain a Home Office for company business. This position requires extensive (daily) travel within the Region as working with Distributors on a daily basis is expected. Travel outside the Region is also required to help with initiatives in other markets—but this travel equates to less than 20% or so of time.
COMPENSATION
Compensation includes:
- competitive base salary
- 25% of base bonus potential based on AOP delivery
- Travel and Entertainment reimbursement via expense report
- competitive benefits.

The RSM SOUTHWEST is responsible for the following geography: Primarily - Southern California, Nevada, Arizona
