  • What is a K-Carafe™ pod?
K-Carafe™ pods are new pods developed specifically for use in the Keurig® 2.0 system. These pods contain up to 26 grams of fresh coffee and brew approximately four cups of coffee into a specially designed Keurig® carafe that holds up to 30 ounces of coffee. Like our K-Cup® and Vue® pods, the number of ounces (or grams) in each carafe pod varies depending on the beverage. Even among single cup coffee pods, volumes vary depending on the coffee’s roast level, grind, and formulation for optimal brewing.
  • Why can't I use any carafe I want?
For safety reasons, we designed Keurig carafes to sync with the Keurig® 2.0 brewer to ensure as best we could that when you put in a carafe pod it can safely brew the volume of coffee that will be delivered. Therefore, you will not be able to brew a carafe without the Keurig® 2.0 Carafe or Thermal Carafe.
  • How do I clean the Keurig® Carafe?
Begin by emptying the Keurig® Carafe and removing the lid. Wipe the inside of the Keurig® Carafe and the lid with a damp, soapy, lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Rinse thoroughly. NEVER PLACE THE KEURIG® CARAFE IN THE DISHWASHER. Replace the lid. Ensure that the lid securely in place prior to brewing your next carafe of coffee.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for a couple, or 3-4 people We had a 2011 year model, it died, could not get it fixed. Purchased new 2016 year 2.0 model, it works great. Was going to order the Thermal Carafe to use with it, a friend had this 2.0 Plastic Carafe ... and gave it to us. Works great! Fill it, take to table, inside or outside, fill two cups or four. It does cool down pretty quick, agree about hole in lid letting it vent, I wonder if newer models have that fixed? Friend said it was 1-1/2 year old. As for when it gets cold, just pour into your cup and nuke it, you do not have to put it into pot on stove. So far no cold by 2nd cup, and for the one person that wanted a second cup, we just brew them a cup on the machine. So, if you plan on sitting a long time by self or just a couple, buy the Thermal Carafe. But for the above uses, this works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it is meant to do I don't get the complaints I've seen on this item. The carafe is obviously not meant for hours of storage. This is made for those after-dinner rounds of coffee for a few family/friends. Why would I use a carafe to maintain hot coffee for hours when I can brew a perfect cup in a minute? This carafe serves it's intended purpose simply and well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Buy I am unsure as so why people are complaining. this carafe is made for multiple people. if you want one cup at a time, stick with the k cups... its just common sense. i had a group of friends over and the coffee didn't even last 15 minutes!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not keep coffee warm We were excited at the idea of being able to make a pot of coffee with our keurig and set it at the breakfast table. Unfortunately, after about 15 minutes the coffee is room temperature. Disappointed. I guess I'll have to spend another $30 for the insulated carafe; I'm sure that's the reason Keurig ships this bad one so they can make more money. Just like how none of my old K-Cups work with the 2.0... $$$$$$$

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Impressed Was excited about my new Keurig 2.0 because of the Carafe settings. But was very disappointed to find that it doesn't keep my coffee warm for long. By the Time I finished my first cup what was in the carafe was stone cold. It is NOT microwavable so I had to pour it into a kettle and warm it on the stove.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not compatible with K525C Purchased this carafe yesterday, cannot get it to function with my brand new Keurig. supposedly it is compatible, but every time I try to use it, it tells me that the carafe is not compatible with my brewer. the manuals that accompanied my brewer do not even have a clear path in the directions as to how to remedy this or even presses directions for my brewer. seems the interaction booklet itself is for all 2.0 models.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Standard carafe The worst. Coffee stays hot for about 8 minutes. Junk.
